I parted ways with my legal representative in Ukraine this week. Yes, he’s a great guy and we’ll probably always be friends, but professionally, I don’t think we’d be seeing each other again.
It wasn’t a drawn-out fight. It was more of a fizzle when we both realized we weren’t what the other needed. Sometimes that’s good. There are no “But what ifs?” to complicate things.
I am a budding Permaculture Practitioner. I have everything but the Homestead. I am looking for a piece of land that may or may not have a habitable structure on it, for the price of my monthly take-home pay (which isn’t much, truth be told). I have a checklist for picking out potential properties and nowhere in there is written that I have to see the property in person to judge its value. That’s what the “year of observation” is for. To figure out what the property wants and treat it accordingly.
He wants me to live in the city, surrounded by neighbors and all the modern conveniences. I understand his way of thinking, but that is precisely what I have right now and what I DON’T want! To begin with, I can’t afford that. Not even on Mondays.
Anyway, now I am looking for someone new, who understands weirdness and Permaculture and won’t second-guess my every decision.
Wish me luck!
